Provenance

A register of authenticity for physical goods. Every piece carries an identifier that resolves to the maker’s own record of it — what it is, when it was made, and whether it has been reported lost or stolen.

• Identifiers that cannot be guessed. Generated from a cryptographic source over an alphabet chosen so a card cannot be misread.
• A record, not a verdict. A scan returns what the register holds and lets the holder compare it to the object, rather than showing a tick that anyone could screenshot.
• Owned by the brand. The register lives in the merchant’s own Shopify admin, so it survives uninstalling this app.
